Out of School Program (6 - 12 years)

Confident Leaders, Community Contributors

Descriptions

Our school-age program complements formal schooling with dynamic experiences that build life skills and leadership capabilities. Before school provides calm starts with quiet activities or active options, plus nutritious breakfast and self-care routine development. After school recognizes children's need for physical activity and creative expression after structured academics. Outdoor time is prioritized with organized games and free play, while indoor spaces offer homework areas, art studios, science stations, and reading nooks. We support optional homework completion while honoring different family philosophies about after-school academics. Holiday programming features theme weeks, field trips, cooking projects, and service learning opportunities. Mixed-age interactions build mentoring skills with older children supporting younger peers. Children participate in program planning, suggesting activities and organizing events that build democratic participation skills and community investment. Our approach honors increasing independence while providing supportive community structure for healthy development.
