Preschool Program (3 - 5 years)

Creative Thinkers, Collaborative Learners

Descriptions

Our preschool program builds upon natural curiosity and expanding capabilities, creating learning communities where complex thinking and collaborative skills flourish. We employ emergent curriculum that follows children's interests while weaving learning objectives across all developmental domains. Morning meetings become collaborative planning sessions where children share ideas and contribute to classroom decisions. Learning centers feature open-ended materials - blocks for construction and math, art supplies for creativity and science, dramatic play props for storytelling and social negotiation. Children conduct investigations and experiments, making observations and drawing conclusions about plants, floating objects, and natural phenomena. Mathematical thinking emerges through cooking projects, construction play, and daily counting activities. Literacy develops meaningfully through creating books about investigations, writing letters, and engaging with diverse library selections. Extensive outdoor learning includes tending gardens, nature investigations, and collaborative games building gross motor skills and cooperation. Art experiences become sophisticated while maintaining focus on creative expression. Community connections foster through field trips, classroom visitors, and service learning projects that build citizenship skills.
